Ecole Montessori l’Etincelle
The Ecole Montessori l’Etincelle welcomes children aged 3 to 6 in a bilingual French-English Montessori environment. Our programs stimulate children’s interest and curiosity, giving them a taste for learning and allowing them to develop in a multilingual environment. They also support each child’s development to enforce their self-confidence, and teach them to respect others and nature.
Mission
Our mission is to provide high-quality support that meets the needs of each child through individualised monitoring, allowing them to develop at their own pace and build a solid foundation for a good start in life. We are also delighted to offer an inclusive environment and to welcome each child in their uniqueness.
Our educational team is passionate about child development and puts all its expertise at the service of children and their families, with whom we collaborate on a daily basis in the best interests of the child. We also support parents, when they need parenting guidance.
About the Montessori Approach
Through her sensory approach, where children are involved in their learning, Maria Montessori (1870-1951) developed a pedagogy that promotes independence, curiosity, self-confidence, concentration, responsibility, collaboration and movement; in a framework where children must first learn to respect limits, before gaining freedom. It also responds to the 3 to 6 years old child’s need: “Help me to do it myself!”
About Montessori L’Etincelle
Our school is a member of the Swiss Montessori Association, recognised by the Canton of Vaud and follows the Curriculum of Suisse Romande for grades 1P-2P. It also received an award from the European competition of the ‘Geste d’Or’, Paris, for its sensibilisation programme « I respect the environment: from the garden to the plate! ». Our premises offer spacious and bright rooms, with a fantastic view of the Lac Léman and the Alps, as well as a garden for discovering nature. It is located in Coppet, near the historic center, the castle and well served by public transport: bus, trains, boats; with free parking for cars and bikes. We are open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Enrollment is open throughout the year.
