Language Examinations: fide test and telc
SLA Basel is an examination center for fide tests and telc exams, which are often required for visa extensions and other official purposes.
FIDE Test: Developed by the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), the FIDE test assesses German language proficiency at levels A1 to B1. Switzerland recognizes it, including in naturalization processes. The test includes two parts:
- Oral Part (Speaking and Listening): duration of 40 minutes
- Written Part (Reading and Writing): duration of 60 minutes
Candidates can choose to take either or both parts. Results, along with the language passport (Sprachenpass), are received by mail approximately four weeks after the test.
telc Exams: As a recognized telc examination center, SLA Basel offers telc exams that assess language proficiency across various levels and are widely accepted for professional and educational purposes. These exams are instrumental for individuals seeking to validate their language skills officially.
“At SLA Basel, we are very committed to providing high-quality language education tailored to the needs of our diverse learners, ensuring they achieve their personal and professional language objectives.”
