Academia Primar & Sek

Academia Primar & Sek is a German-speaking school for primary, secondary and Year 10 students in Reinach (BL).

Aligned to Lehrplan 21, we put top priority on an optimal and personalised education for each student from Year 5 to Year 10. This enables us to help our students find the ideal solution in order for them to continue their further education – with targeted individual support rather than the unnecessary pressure of early selective entry exams.

We support each child individually:

• Optional Music and/or English stream combine intensive Music/English lessons with a specific approach aimed at promoting creativity, flexibility, teamwork and independence.
• Teaching of appropriate learning and organizational techniques
• Assistance with homework, preparation for exams and choosing a career

We teach in a modern way:

• Project work and self-regulated learning included
• Lessons last 65 minutes to allot enough time for creative immersion in subjects
• Projects involving the whole school (e.g., musical, camps, excursions, project weeks)

We remove pressure:

• Definitive levels (A/E/P) set at the end of Year 8
• Students can work at different levels in each subject

We help with career choice:

• Intensive support to find the right career
• Visit of career fair (Berufsmesse) and time for trial apprenticeships (Schnupperlehre)
