SIS Swiss International School Basel
Since 1999, SIS Basel has been putting the bilingual education concept into action, with excellent results. SIS Basel has an unparalleled reputation as the ideal school for children and young people with big plans for the future in a globalised world. This is a view shared by both Swiss parents and those who have moved to the neighbourhood from abroad.
“Our school community is characterised by a vibrant and nurturing multicultural environment and represents more than forty nationalities.“
About SIS Basel
SIS is a place of learning in a holistic way. The school cares about the development of emotional and social skills as much as for the acquisition of knowledge. As a day school, SIS is committed to doing everything they can to support children as they grow up and to provide a valuable complement to their family life. This includes lunchtime meal offers, before- and after-school care, and homework supervision as well as exciting activities, even during school holidays.
SIS Basel offers continuous education on all levels and under the same roof: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and college. On all levels, subjects are taught in German and English. However, bilingualism is not a prerequisite for joining the school.
“At our SIS bilingual college, we guide young people to achieving the nationally recognised bilingual Swiss Matura and/or the globally recognised International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.”
