Basel-Stadt – Official daycare center / Kita directory
The canton of Basel-Stadt has an official online directory of all licensed Kitas in Basel-Stadt, Riehen, and Bettingen. This user-friendly directory shows all licensed Kitas. You can browse the directory and find more information about each respective Kita.
As of May 2025, there are 126 Kitas listed in the directory.

This user-friendly directory lets search by:
- Eligibility for government contributions (Betreuungsbeiträge)
- 121 Kitas are eligible
- 5 Kitas are not eligible
- 121 Kitas are eligible
- Age groups (babies until primary school age)
- Postal code
- Language (Swiss German daycare / Kita and bilingual daycare / Kita)
- Availability / free spots
