About FG Basel
FG Basel offers a complete education from kindergarten to Matura, emphasizing a family-like school culture. The school offers an integrated full-day concept (Tagesschule) for children in kindergarten and primary school until 18.00 daily.
Founded in 1889, FG Basel is a private, independent alternative to public schools. The school provides a diverse learning environment, well-structured school days, and daily fresh meals from the in-house cafeteria.
The curriculum includes English languages classes from native English speakers from the start of kindergarten.

FG Basel’s new “GoSwiss” program
This new GoSwiss German as a second language support program, supports the seamless integration of children into the Swiss school system and guides international families through a new educational environment.
With a clear focus on German language acquisition, GoSwiss is designed to ensure that children are able to learn effectively in German. With a focus on language development, cultural orientation, and family engagement, GoSwiss offers a welcoming environment where children can grow academically and socially.
