Ninja gym in Basel

Andrea, can you tell us about Overground?

Of course! Overground is a modern indoor ninja gym offering 2’500 square meters of training space. We opened in Basel in 2021 to provide children and adults with a fun and safe environment to explore movement, develop new skills, and gain confidence. From ninja courses to trampolining, chase tag, and parkour, there is something for everyone.

I am sure there are many people who are not familiar with these sports. Can you explain them to us?

Yes, we hear that often. Ninja, chase tag, and parkour are exciting sports that challenge children to move creatively, improve coordination, and build strength. These sports focus on overcoming obstacles, agility, and having fun while staying active.

What courses do you offer for children?

We offer weekday afternoon and weekend courses. For children 5–8, our Polysport courses teach basic motor skills through ninja, parkour, chase tag, and trampolining in a fun and playful way.

Do you offer courses for children who have never tried these sports before?

Absolutely. Our Polysport courses are ideal for beginners. They are designed to be both challenging and fun, helping children build confidence while developing essential motor skills. Our coaches make sure that every child feels comfortable and supported. We train in small groups, and there is a lot of individual attention.

Overground also offers holiday camps. Can you tell us about these camps?

Camps take place during all cantonal school holidays. They include a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, ranging from games and sports to focused training.

That sounds fun! What does a typical camp day look like?

A full-day camp runs from 9.00 to 17.00 and includes lunch. Children take part in group games, outdoor excursions, and various training sessions. It’s an all-in-one adventure where they have fun, make friends, and discover new sports.
For those who prefer shorter sessions, we also offer half-day camps from 9.00 until 13.00 (lunch included), or afternoon camps from 13.00 to 17.00.

Do you offer trial lessons?

Yes, we offer trial lessons for children up to 12 years old, available 2–4 times a month. These sessions cost 25 CHF and are a great way for children and parents to see what we offer and decide if it is the right fit.
