About SIS Basel-Allschwil

SIS Basel-Allschwil has opened its doors in summer 2024. At our new school, which is located in the main campus of the Switzerland Innovation Park (SIP) in the middle of Allschwil’s Bachgraben area, we offer bilingual education at kindergarten and primary school levels since the school year 2024/25.
SIS Swiss International School Basel-Allschwil plans to fully accommodate approximately 100 pupils from Kindergarten to Primary 6.

On all levels, classes are held both in German and English. However, bilingualism is no prerequisite for admission.

SIS Basel-Allschwil — a bilingual day school

SIS Basel-Allschwil is uniquely positioned as a bilingual all-day school dedicated to fostering confident and globally-minded individuals. Its mission is centered on integrating German and English equally into the curriculum, supported by the “One Person, One Language” approach, where native-speaking teachers consistently use their mother tongue. This immersive method allows students to develop natural fluency in both languages.

The school’s location within the Switzerland Innovation Park in Allschwil creates a modern and stimulating environment that promotes curiosity, collaboration, and a global outlook. Proximity to research and innovation hubs further enriches learning opportunities and provides connections beyond the classroom.

SIS Basel-Allschwil also offers a comprehensive all-day school program, including supervised lunches, after-school care, and enrichment activities. This structure supports families while ensuring students benefit from a well-rounded educational experience that balances academic achievement with personal and social growth.
