English language programme
Chantemerle’s English Language Programme is available from June 28th to August 2nd, 2026.
At Chantemerle Summer Camp, the staff want English learning to be natural, practical, and enjoyable, with Switzerland at the heart of every lesson whenever possible.
The starting points for learning are always real-life situations: Swiss life, culture, traditions, and cities. The aim is to practise English while learning about Switzerland at the same time. For younger students, this means singing, playing, and storytelling; for older students, the focus is on structured debates, research projects, and creative writing. Themes for teenagers also cover politics, science, and society. A final presentation gives each student a chance to shine in public (participation is not compulsory).
Importantly, learning does not stop in the classroom but continues during activities, at the lunch table, and on excursions. With small classes and experienced native-speaking teachers, every student receives close support and quickly feels comfortable communicating in English. Educators in the boarding school also communicate in English.

Leadership / life skills programme
Chantemerle’s Leadership and Life Skills Programme is available between July 19th and August 2nd, 2026.
The programme is designed for students ages 12-16. As the camp is in English, they should be able to communicate even if basic (A2).
Traditional education often teaches students what to think, but not necessarily who they are or how to use their strengths to make a real impact.
The “Make It Count” summer camp at Chantemerle is designed to help teenagers develop confidence, leadership and practical life skills through a series of hands-on challenges. One of the key projects is based on the Safe Water Cube, a unique non-electrical water purification system, through which students explore social innovation and entrepreneurship while learning how to solve real-world problems collaboratively.
The programme also includes teamwork challenges such as MasterChef, public speaking and personal branding through TED-style presentations, and outdoor leadership experiences in nature. Throughout the programme, students develop communication, resilience, problem-solving and stress-management skills in practical situations. The objective is for them to leave not only with memories, but also with greater self-awareness, stronger communication skills and the confidence to face future challenges with initiative and purpose”.
